Good grief, can't these idiots stop wanking for five seconds? I know this band gets a lot of good press, and I hate to disagree so sharply with ktb, but this is one of the most annoying albums I have heard in years, at least since the last time I heard a Soilwork album.

Not that Spawn Of Possession are –coreish at all, no, they are just spastic. I kept waiting for the heaviness, the brutality, but I just got 40 minutes of guitars going diddly-weedly-diddly-wee while the drums do stop-and-go rolls and fills and blickums fit to drive anyone crazy. It's like this band never plays a song, they just keep playing breakdowns and drum fills and solos until they have three minutes of noise and they call it a song. Gods, this is worse than Meshuggah, I'm turning it off right now. If you like jittery, wanky technocrap wanna-be Deth Metal, great, go for it, but if you want something heavy and brutal or at all entertaining, then stay away from this nonsense. Excuse me, I have to crank up The Chasm to clear this garbage out of my ears.
