Rhapsody, the Hollywood metal specialists, are back with their third album - Dawn Of Victory. Well, this album is what we've come to expect from Rhapsody. Some will say that they should have changed their formula, but why change a winning formula? I find that there are quite a few differences compare to the previous two albums, Legendary Tales and Symphony of Enchanted Lands. I find it has a more epic sound than its predecessors. Dawn of Victory is also more mature songwriting-wise. The orchestration is even more grandiose, et we can hear that the musicians got even better with their respective instruments - the change of drummer, newcomer Alex Holzwarth, helps here. Very good production. Bottom line, I think this is Rhapsody's best album, and that it will finally allow them to penetrate the North American market. They have everything they need to become the greatest metal band, now let's see if they can prove themselves in live performances.
