This is an entertaining slab of thrashing black satanic goodness, isn't it? When a band starts out their album with a track called "Fucked By Fire", you know you are in for some fun. This is very much in the vein of other Black Thrash bands like Old or Sauron, all of them hailing at the altar of Onslaught's The Force. Bewitched certainly are not inventing anything new, and a lot of this has a 'heard this before' vibe to it, but it's a blast anyway. They have a killer guitar tone and they sling some seriously neck-snapping riffs, and their vocalist has an old-school hate-spewing shout that will remind you of when Slayer were cool. Violent, whipping, gleeful destruction. |
