MAKE WAY FOR THE INCINERATOR!!!! Hehehe... Some more killer stuff from Canadian thrashers Slaughter, the "Strappado" picture LP is a limited edition (666 copies) and is in fact an official bootleg (authorized by the band.) Most songs here can be found on the Surrender or Die CD except five: "The Curse", "Parasites", "F.O.D. (Fuck Off Death)", "Tortured Souls" and "Nocturnal Hell". This is more of the same, in your face raw thrash metal with no compromise, like they knew how to do in the 80's! The recording quality is pretty good too, better than on Surrender or Die which contain the material in demo form. I just can't stop headbanging when listening to the Slaughter stuff. It's hard to pick favorites but the most memorable are "Disintegrater", "Incinerator", "Tyrant of Hell" and "Death Dealer". But all the songs are pretty much killer anyway. If you like your metal with attitude rather than modern gimmicks, this is for you. If you don't have a turntable, buy one. It's worth it just to listen to this LP! |
