This is the debut for Swedish Black Metal traditionalists Vanmakt, who on the one hand are pretty good, but on the other, are not really doing much to distinguish themselves either. Vanmakt purvey a fast, blasty variety of second-wave Black Metal. They are a bit heavier then is the norm for this kind of machinegun-speed flailing, with a less trebly sound, but still pretty faceless. Again, this is not a bad band, and this is a decent disc, but with 47 million BM bands on earth, decent isn't really enough to cut it. Generic. |
