This is a re-release of this band's debut EP, originally put out in 2005. Dead Congregation are a Greek Death Metal band, and while they are pretty good, they aren't that great. This is really generic stuff, with the expected Altars Of Madness — style riffs and guitar sound. The vocals are so guttural they border on ridiculous, and they pretty much just sound like a cheap car being revved outside the studio. The songs sound a lot alike, and don't have much identity. If you love old-school DM this is okay, but there's nothing here that hasn't been done better by some other band. |
