Saint Deamon are a new Power Metal band who sound very Swedish — which is hardly surprising as they are, actually, Swedish. They mix the expected crunch and polish with some solid hooks and high, clear vocals. The resemblance to mid-period Nocturnal Rites is so strong it can't be coincidental, even if the quality is not quite that good. Saint Deamon mix some killers like "My Heart" "Ride Forever" and the title cut with some pretty annoying songs like "No Man's Land", but overall the level of quality is pretty good. I know that's hardly a ringing endorsement, but Saint Deamon are a band with more potential than realization. They have the right idea, and they have chops, they just need to cook their songs a bit longer. This is an enjoyable album for Power Metal fans, and I see great potential in this act for the future. Worth a look.
