You just have to love it when you stumble across a band that just flat out floors you with how good they are. It's like Christmas morning and Heavy Metal Santa just dropped off a load at your house. Gladly this Heavy Metal Santa is not like one of your friends and doesn't back up your toilet. What we have here is a band named Sencirow from Germany that have simply blown me away with their second full-length album The Nightmare Within.

The band is straddling the fence of a few genres including Power, Thrash and even plain old metal but instead of this seeming unfocused it all blends together so seamlessly that you never even notice it. The first thing that really strikes you about this band is the simply awesome ass-kicking riffs that really drive every song on this disc. The musicianship overall is top notch without any weakness whatsoever. The vocals even though not being ultra clean are exactly what this music needs. This is some aggressive music with a very pronounced edge but with tons of melody that add a great deal of depth as well as making the songs really stand out. Worthy of note as well is the absolutely great production job here. This is what a metal album should freakin' sound like!

I just love finding new bands that remind me of why I love this style of music so much. Plain and simple people this album kicks ass! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
