If you're only going to buy one metal fanzine this year, this is it. Back in a slightly different format due to a change of printer, and unfortunately a little less pages (can't get enough of Slayer!), but don't start whining just yet, the price is lower - and still cheap considering the quality of this zine! The actual layout of the magazine is pretty much the same as the last few issues, meaning packed with interviews and photos, plus some Arne Babb apparitions here and there, but less reviews than before (I guess he decided to cut on that since this issue has less pages.) Killer interviews with: Holy Moses, Pentagram, Desaster, Destruction, Nifelheim, King Fowley (hilarious arguing between the two), Sadistik Exekution, Alex Colin Tocquaine, Absu/Equimanthorn/Blood Storm, BloodThorn, Impiety, Dekapitator, Pentacle, Hemlock, Necrodeath, Dracena, MLO, Exumer/Sun Descends and Aborym. Also a Wacken 2001 review, zine reviews, and a gallery of the almighty Arne Babb. The only disappointment is that this issue is only 68 pages but hey, printing those magazines doesn't come cheap. Still one if not THE best value in terms of fanzines. |
