Some people complain about the recent 'Thrash revival', but the truth is it produces some killer fucking shit like this. Head On Collision are a US band reminding everyone that meat and potatoes thrash comes from the good old US of A. Ritual Sacrifice is a full-throttle, crunching, bashing thrashfest that old-school heshers will not want to miss. This knocks the shit out of wannabe crap like Blood Tsunami, that's for sure. This disc is just pure raging Thrash from note one. Heavy guitars pack on the galloping riffs and the saw-edged leads. Vocals are a bile-spewing gargle that is neither hardcore nor deathgrowl — it's Thrash. The really excellent thing is that there is not one slow or bad song on here, it just kills relentlessly all the way through. This sucker may be low-budget, but it has a crushing production job and feverish energy. Pure underground Thrash gold. |
