Well, after several listens (I stopped counting at 15 or so), there isn't all that much to say about this album. Unborn Suffer is a Death/Grind (much more on the Death side of things) outfit from Poland with a couple of albums under their belt already. Desecrate/Retaliate/Obliterate sounds like it's named, with things mostly brutal/chaotic and rather fast, but at the end of the day I can't remember much of it - the kind of album that's good while it lasts (and I do mean this - it is enjoyable to listen to), but doesn't really give a lasting impression. The last track has a silence for a while and then is followed by some useless noise and chatter - you know how much I love that kind of crap. The vocals are of the "low squealing pig" variety, very guttural and low and, well, sometimes a little squealy. Nothing to help things, but the vocalist sure can bark those like the best of them. Die hards of the genre may like this, but this album will most likely be relegated to that niche market. |
