I had never heard of this band or the man who is behind the microphone (and all the other instruments, for that matter), JEVO. On the website he invites visitors to download this awesome Heavy Metal masterpiece. Awesome masterpiece? We'll see about that. Actually, he's right. In addition to being free, this stuff rocks! The music is Power Metal with quick, crunchy riffs, some nice bottom end with keyboards/effects to round out the sound. The vocals are mostly semi-harsh singing with a few grunts/growls thrown in. He also sings in a clear style on several songs, and can actually sing very well. He even mixes up the harsh and clean vocals a few times and it sounds great.
Overall, this CD sounds like nothing else I'm aware of. The tracks range from fast ("Alien Messiah", "Destroy All Humans", "Gospel of Judas") to some slower stuff ("Earthanasia", "Clones of Mediocrity") with nothing straying into the hyper-Dragonforce speed or doomy sluggishness. For the price (did I mention it's FREE???) you can't go wrong. Download away.
