First album from Power Metallers Metalium, and arguably their best, Millennium Metal features 12 tracks of raging Power Metal (and one ballad). These guys certainly fall into the heavier spectrum of the genre, guaranteed headbanging aplenty. A reasonable intro gets us geared up for the onslaught ahead of us, with some nice guitar work and thunderous drums, nicely leading into the wild drum solo of "Fight". "Fight" is what this album is all about, raging drum work, scorching riffs and the almighty vocals of Henning Basse. "Dream of Doom" has the sound of a classic metal anthem, the guitar work is fucking bad ass. Metalium really benefitted from Chris Caffery slinging the axe. And what can be said about Mike Terrana, he's a fucking machine - just listen to "Void of Fire" or "Revelation".

"Strike Down The Heathen" is easily my favorite track; it never fails to get my fist pumping and my foot stomping away. Always a good one for when everything seems to get on top of you. Fans of German metal or just flat out metal could really do a lot worse than check this album out. Sadly I feel it's often neglected due to some of the trashing later albums received. Even the Deep Purple cover is good fun, giving the song just that little more power and revitalizing it for the Millennium. "Metalians" is certainly another corker, I love what they went for with the main riff. Certainly one of those tracks that puts everything together. Give this album a look, you certainly won't regret it, and I mean that more so to Power Metal fans. Recommended
