You know what one of the best things is about a Primal Fear album? You simply know exactly what you are going to get. Some of the very best pure metal on the scene today with music that reminds of the glory days of bands of the past like Maiden and Priest. I have been a fan from the first album and this being the fourth of their history I am still a big fan of the band. Primal Fear is simply one of those bands that never fail to make their fans smile.

The new album is in the same tradition of their previous works with a slight twist. This is a concept album telling a story of the eagles that adorn each one of their album covers. This is not the only slight change, as the album sounds a little more aggressive to me than previous albums but still retaining all the classic metal feel they have become known for. The guitar and vocal work is again the highlight of the album with killer riffs from start to finish.

The promo material that came along with the CD claims that this is and will be the pure metal album of the year and after listening to this 20 or 30 times already I would have to readily agree with that statement. It may seem a bit premature considering this is only the fourth month of the year but if and when you buy this album I think I will have more than a few people that agree with me on that statement. Simply another album from Primal Fear that comes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED… :)
