This is pretty good, though it is fairly standard for Greek BM. Second album for Burial Hordes, who are on Pulverised, so they must be some kind of good. Overall, I find this decent but underwhelming. The guitar tone is a bit weak, but the riffs are overall pretty damned good, with some fine moments. Burial Hordes change things up frequently, and are not stuck in blast mode. This keeps things interesting even when the album is not gripping. The drums and vocals are unremarkable, and I guess that's where this band fails – a lot of this is just not rising above the average. Devotion To Unholy Creed is a good time, but it is unlikely to stick out in your memory. |
