Haemorrhage is a Grind/Death outfit from Spain, also referred to as "grindgore". Judging by the album name and the song titles, I would say that's quite fitting. I always put the "grind" albums in my player a bit reluctantly, the genre being filled with bands that play fast just for the sake of playing fast. Haemorrhage at least can play their instruments and are tolerable. Only tolerable because about 90% of the album is blazing fast stuff without anything really sticking out to grab your attention - but then again, that seems to be a problem with the genre itself. Things get a bit more varied toward the end of the album, where they slow down a bit, breaking the somewhat monotone feel of the album up to there. The vocals are the expected practically indecipherable growls, no surprise there. Not too guttural and therefore not too annoying (of course, this one goes to personal taste...) Well, considering the other stuff I heard in the genre, this is quite a decent release. I'm sure those into this stuff will like it and crave for more. |
