I seriously have no idea where this demo came from, or how so much awesome Death Metal could be packed into a release under ten minutes long, but I don't even care because it rocks that hard. Evighetens Dårar I is a small but essential release that reminds us how Death Metal is meant to be played. The bass is guttural, the drums are furious, the guitars are crushing, and the vocalist sounds like he is going to pop a blood vessel and somehow make his way through my headphones and murder me with a rusty axe at the same time. So yeah, the mixing is pretty top notch.

This demo starts off on a high note with the brutal "Traumatic Inhuman Severance." Every time I hear the opening lyrics, "my patience / below zero / you're out of time / you're mine," I just want to start a moshpit with anyone in my general vicinity and headbang until said head falls off. Everything about this song is great, from the stops, to the vocals, to pretty much anything else I can think of. This goes for the other two songs as well, but despite their intensity and great craftsmanship, they don't quite live up to "Traumatic Inhuman Severance."

Every track on this demo is a killer. If you like Death Metal then definitely pick this one up and keep Torture Division on your radar.
