Yet another tired rehash of the worst aspects of Cannibal Corpse, Ingested play exactly what you expect, except they play with a bit more musicality than most grind acts, and so this actually qualifies as Death Metal to my ears. The riffs are decent, if recycled from 1,000 other albums of this sort. The vocals are a pathetic burp overlaid with mountains of effects, and the lyrical content is juvenile and misogynist in the extreme. I have to wonder if any of these guys who belch about eating rotten vaginas have ever actually seen one, because this sure sounds like the mental effluvia from a 15-year-old onanist who has the entirety of Traces of Death downloaded onto his computer. A waste of time. |
