This demo by Danish solitary artist Fendinn is a free download. What I heard on it was traditional black metal, with a rawer production and some melodic tones. The pace is often set on the fast mode although moderate tempos are frequent, adding a bit of variety. As for the raw edge, being a black metal demo, it is acceptable. It is represented by distant bass and a cardboard sounding drum kit. The guitars could have been crunchier too, but they have the cold distorted tone at least. Fendinn uses some deep raspy vocals, suiting his music pretty well. To embellish the compositions, as well as scoring harmonious points, the use of an acoustic guitar came in handy. Indeed, this cool instrument was used in many, if not all of the tracks. I'm saying that because on the instrumental track #3, "In Mysery of Mist" it is not too obvious. Maybe it was used in the background, playing some riffs. In the other songs, the acoustic guitar is clearly heard in the calmer parts. "On the Day of Judgment" is the more diversified compositions. Opening up with piano and keyboards, it alternates between the furious traditional black metal and the melodious acoustic arpeggios.
Perhaps not a masterpiece, still worth checking, especially since it is free to the masses!
