Powerful Doom/Death from Russia, so no surprise that it's on Solitude Productions, what is surprising is the muscular guitar sound and the hooky, catchy riffs that drive this. Reminding me a good bit of Funeral or even Withering, this album is just bristling with hooks, fueled by a fat production that give the sound a lot of punch. The vocals are a rather dull growl, and they don't do much to add to the music. But the meat of this is the riffs, which are really excellent, creating a crushing Doom atmosphere. This album keeps kicking all the way through, not dropping off in the second half at all, and it stays involving all the way through. An excellent disc for Doom/Death fans. |
