This is a Belarussian band playing the stripe of melodeath I associate with the Amott brothers. This album has two essential modes. The first is the 'groovy' part, with tasty clean guitar melodies and catchy hooks. The other is the faster, or 'boring' mode, with rat-tat-tat drums and monotone grumpy vocals. The melodic passages here are quite good, with some good hooks and sharp guitar work, the rest of it is tedious. If this band would tone down the harsh vocals, forget about blasting and just play, they might make some good shit. |
