There have been two bands by this name, but the other one is long broken up, and this is not that band. Obscure Infinity are a German band who play heavy, riffy Death Metal with a cool guitar sound and Neanderthal grunting vocals. This is definitely a cut above the mass of wannabe bands, and Obscure Infinity flash the odd impulse towards more dynamic songwriting than just the usual. I like the heavy, visceral riffs and the aggressive guitar attack, and I like that the music is riff-oriented and not drum-centric like so much modern DM. Solid DM from a band with obvious potential. |
