This band has been around for years and has three albums out, but you have never heard of them and neither had I. I'm always pulling for unknown bands to be awesome, but this is pretty terrible. It's competently played and produced, but the songwriting is annoying in the extreme. There are no good riffs, and the stop-start prog stylings will drive you insane. Vocalist Angelo Schaefer is a terrible singer, with a flat tone, no charisma, and a penchant for really irritating college-rock vocal melodies. Repetition is also a big part of his songwriting ethos. A lot of repetition. A lot of repetition. A lot of repetition. Until you turn it off. |
