Some people call this band grind, but I say that while they have grind elements, they remain fundamentally a Death Metal band. Quest of Aidance have cranked up another extremely short but enjoyable EP. This was released in 2007, and is now being re-released as a 10" vinyl EP. Powerful, sometimes quite catchy Death Metal that unspools in brutally short, dense songs. I like this music, but I really wish this band would stop dicking around with these 2 minute songs and 15 minute Eps and produce something substantive, because they definitely have the songwriting chops to do that. Fun, violent, and way too short. |
