This is supposed to be the second album by Italian thrashers Death Mechanism, but it is really only four new tracks, followed by the entirety of their 2006 album Human Error...Global Terror. So this is really more like an EP with bonus material rather than an entire album. This is very chaotic, frenetic Death/Thrash, with sneering vocals and a lot of energy. The music here reminds me of bands like Sadus or Anacrusis, although not as technical as that would imply. Still, this is an entertaining disc of thrashing mayhem with a good production and solid songs. Mass Slavery isn't going to redefine anything, but it goes about its feral business with verve and viciousness. Worthy. |
