Debut album for this Italian Black Metal band. I hear so many BM promos and demos that I become jaded, but I am glad I can still get excited by music that is done well. Cold Empire are mining the Second Wave pretty hard, and there is certainly nothing new or different about them; but this album has real energy and fire along with solid riffs and decent production. The vocals are the expected high-pitched shriek, but they get the job done. If you like your Black Metal done the traditional way, then this is a new band to check out for sure. |
