You know, there's really just one thing that sucks with this CD: The band no longer exists. With such killer music, it's a shame that Sleepy Hollow only have two releases (the self-titled album and the "A Legend Retold" EP.) Add to that the fact that they're not exactly the easiest things to find. Fear not, musketeers! (Yeah, I've been watching too much TV lately...) Unisound Records have released this best-of (well, all their songs from the two releases, save for a couple of exceptions) to let the unlucky ones who could not get the real thing enjoy some killer heavy metal material. Bob Mitchell's legendary vocals are accompanied here by some heavy, very aggressive, raw crunching guitars. Excellent melodies, lots of catchy solos, this is 80s metal at its best. Fans of such bands as Maiden, Priest and some of the heavier NWOBHM bands will sure find something to like here. Most of the stuff is mid to fast-paced (sometimes flirting along the boundaries of speed metal), with the exception of "Children of the Sea", which is kind of a power ballad - and an excellent one at that. I can't recommend this album enough, but be warned: This sucker tends to get stuck in the CD player! :)

Check out the sound samples on the band's web site for a little taste of what you've been missing all this time.
