I heard this band's live promo last year and wasn't exactly blown away by the muddy, crap sound of that disc. Thus, I am happy to discover that under all that there was indeed a decent band. This is actually Dimentianon's third album of Death/Black mayhem since 2003, and it is an accomplished slab of Death riffing and Black attitude. The proficiency here is not surprising when you figure out that three of the suspects here are also in the killer UK Death Metal band Sectioned. This is more expansive than that band, with a more melodic sound and a more space in the compositions. That said this is still heavy, aggressive, and visceral, it just makes room for feelings other than aggression here and there. All in all, a propulsive disc of Death/Black Metal that won't disappoint. |
