This is the second EP from US band Imperial Conquest, who play a fast, chaotic style of keyboard-accented Black/Death that is entertaining, but doesn't have much in the way of depth or songwriting interest. The rhythms are garroting and dense, but the rest of the songwriting is both too busy and too loose. It's not riffy and it's not technical, it's just kind of spastic. I don't dislike this that much, but I don't really like it either, as there is just nothing to it. |
