This disc has a good guitar sound and some all right riffs, and thus I was hoping it would turn out to be a decent BM disc. But after a while it becomes apparent that Frostbitten Kingdom have one and only one kind of riff they like to write: Gnaaa gnaaa GNAAA GNAAA and then squeeeal with the pinch harmonic. Once in a while this would pass, but it's on every song to the point where it feels like they had someone in the studio whose job was specifically to stomp on mice. Three tracks in and it is apparent that this is the BM equivalent of metalcore, with straightforward and lowbrow riffs and boring vocals. This is pretty much a waste. |
