I would swear this was a Swedish album if I didn't know otherwise, as the similarities to later period Marduk are just too strong. This is a self-released debut getting a re-release by an obscure label, and it has everything you expect in generic BM: blast beats, frantic tremolo riffing, rasping scream vocals, and lyrics about blasphemy and evil. This is enjoyable, has a good heavy guitar sound, and the songwriting may not be great but it is serviceable. I suppose I'm damning this with faint praise, but it's really pretty unremarkable. |
