Can we stop with the Latin album titles please? I know this is an Italian band who at least could have some claim to using Latin, but I swear the next Black Metal album with some multiword Latin title is going to get somebody shot. What does it say that I could tell this was a rookie band just by listening to it? I knew without checking that this was their first album, and while I try and be hopeful with young bands, this pretty much sucks. The only thing ‘black' about this is the monotone screeches of the vocalist, which are boring and tiresome. You will hate them before the first song is over. The guitar tone is worthless, the riffs are crap, and there is no mood besides ‘is this over yet?' evoked by this entire disc. Seriously, this is so derivative and lifeless it almost elicits laughter. That anyone could be fooled into thinking this is ‘extreme' or ‘black' is just pathetic. Sad. |
