This is entirely typical Viking/Pagan/Folk-styled metal from Germany. It has all the expected folky melodies, jangly riffs, and really monotonous screaming vocals. This is obviously very influenced by bands like Ensiferum or Eluveitie, but while at least Ensiferum have managed to become an interesting band, this is a terrible faceless and generic album. It's well-produced and well-played, but it offers nothing to get excited about. |
