This is pretty kickass. Desolate Shrine are a Finnish band, and this is their debut slab of punishing, slightly blackened Death Metal. The guitar sound is fat, the songwriting is slow and ruthlessly heavy, and the riffs are aggressive as hell. They put a few too many effects on the vocals for my taste, but not to distraction. If you like slow-paced vicious Death Metal then this is the shit. |
