Serpent Noir's debut EP is a damn fine slab of raw and furious black metal, that while not necessarily mind blowing or trailblazing, straight up kicks your ass. These guys spit forth some frighteningly sick riffs played off with mad-man drumming antics and morbid goblin vocals, at times the band verge on almost Venom territory which is cool. Nothing much else to say here, if you like raw black metal that has more in touch with thrash and first-wave black metal than the Norwegian scene then Serpent Noir are a band you should hunt down fast.
