This is actually pretty badass. Raw, savage guitars clash and grind as they wring out harsh, atonal riffs. The mix turns everything into a blur of Black Metal chaos, with hellish rasping vocals as just one element of the sound, not barfing over the top. The songs are epic and well-composed, mixing fast tremolo playing with heavier, crunchy passages nicely set off by some barbaric war-drum skin pounding. Maybe nothing revolutionary here, but this is powerful, head-smashing stuff. |
