This tries hard for atmosphere, but only succeeds in places. Most of this is Black Metal with nicely atonal riffs and harsh gargling vocals woven into long songs that are occasionally awesome, but the good ideas on this disc all get dragged out too long, and it serves to suck out a lot of the energy created by the really good bits. Overall this comes across as too repetitive and without enough songwriting ideas to really fill out the compositions. Listenable, but that's about it.
