This band has already changed their name to Inverticrux, but the CD case says "Vintage Flesh", so that's what I'm going with. This is basically mid-paced Black Metal with the silliest vocals you can imagine. The lower-pitched screeches are ok, but a LOT of this is covered by twittering, falsetto, vibrato-heavy yodeling witch sounds about a million light-years away from anything you could describe as 'bad-ass'. The riffing is decent, but not captivating, and the overwrought vocals largely render decent music ridiculous. |
