Consfearacy's self-titled debut album is straight up Power/Thrash Metal very much in the mold of recent Helstar. Singer Brian O'Connor has an angry growl, perfect for projecting the kind of aggressive vibe Consfearacy is shooting for. The guitars sound somewhat down tuned, giving them a modern sound, but not nearly enough to be core. The lyrics lean towards Thrash with the typical political ("World Domination") and violent ("Ritual Sacrifice," "Dying to Kill") themes. Everything about Consfearacy is sharp and mean; there are no smooth edges anywhere to be found. Consfearacy play Power/Thrash that you've heard before with little or no innovation, but if you enjoy this style, you will undoubtedly like what the band brings to the table. |
