This band is working a vein of Heavy/Thrash not too dissimilar to old Meliah Rage albums – fast and heavy, with solid riffing and vocals that are more melodic than thrashy. The playing is tight, the riffs are rock-hard, and the production is perfectly good. The problem? Vocalist Apostolis Korakas. It is obvious that he could do better than this, as he has power and a certain charisma, but he seems dedicated to belting out every single word on the exact same note, which renders his voice, and this EP, more annoying than entertaining. If he would stretch out and actually sing more than just shout in a monotone pitch, then this band would rule, no question. |
