This is competent but derivative Black/Death from this Polish band. The hard part about reviewing a disc like this is that there just is not much to say about it. It's well-produced, especially for a DIY job, it has some good riffs but the vocals are an entirely generic bark. The band does manage to create some atmosphere, which bodes well for their future. This is a good EP, and it shows a professional band at work, but they just do not sound that different from a lot of other bands. A little more melodic and moody than your typical Behemoth-clone, but not enough to really stand out. |
