No-frills Black Metal is what Bleeding Fist offer on this EP. Mid to fast-paced, heavy, with vocals that are decipherable, yet "evil-sounding" and raspy enough to get the job done. This is even a bit catchy at times, though overall I found it to be on the monotonous side. It's neither boring nor bad, just kind of uneventful for the most part, like the band is just going through the motions and occasionally waking up and kicking some ass. Devil's Ferox is your basic second-wave BM with a tad of modern thrown into it, and a decent enough production. Not essential, but it does have its moments. |
