More from England's Immortal Empire, in comparison to the latest full-length The Division of Empires (a Land Beyond a Great Vast Forest), 2010's EP The Hammer of Witches is a more focused affair. At only three tracks (one of which is a short intro) this release is straight to the point, with a lot better production, superior content and overall better ideas. A definite cut above the full-length, and certainly worthy for fans of straight up black metal with a symphonic edge. |
