I like The Rotted's Get Dead or Die Trying from three years ago, and this new one, Ad Nauseam, is also a damn good listen. This is Death Metal that's fun to listen to, with decent vocals in the form of relatively decipherable growls, lots of speed, and music that comes out crystal clear thank to a good production job. Above all, a lot of the songs here are quite memorable, and definitely headbangable – there's a beat to headbang to, a melody to remember, all the while remaining a somewhat dark-sounding album. A lot of the stuff here is bound to kill in a live setting. There are some thrashy edges popping up here and there, which makes this a little more accessible for those who are not into "plain Death Metal." Here's one deserving of the repeat setting on the CD player.
