This tries to be proggy, but at its heart this is much more about 'coreish sounds than anything of real quality. The riffs are melodic and sometimes startling, but the compositions are a mess, jittering all over the place and breaking into blastbeats and dull fast bits with awful, awful yelling in place of vocals. I can't call this metalcore, as the riff sensibility is too melodic and complex, but the songwriting is messy and the vocals are very coreish. Uninteresting and often annoying. |
