This band makes the mistake of beginning their album with a four and a half-minute industrial 'atmospheric' intro that is so irritating that they never quite manage to recover all the listener's goodwill. It would help if their music were of a higher caliber overall. This is 'symphonic' BM with a lot of orchestral-sounding keys a la early Emperor, and some of the riffs and hooks are decent. But the drums are a painfully synthesized noise and the vocals are a one-note screech washed through 47 layers of effects into an unintelligible gargle. Too much of this album is not music, it's just making noise and hoping you will find this somehow interesting. |
