This is the debut for a US Death Metal band with the interminable yet generic name of Diabolical Sacrilege. I could swear there was already a band called this, but there's not. Anyway, this is actually quite technical Death, with a lot of tremolo doublepicking and time shifts. No genuine jazzy sounds, thank Satan, but a loot of nitpicky complexity in amongst the heaviness. On the one hand this has a lot of good riffing, good production, and solid performances. On the other hand the songs are too all over the place and don't really gel as songs. This is enjoyable, but not memorable.
