This is pretty much an example of why "experimental" music is so tedious. Reverence play these long, stodgy songs with dull riffs and a shitload of pretension while offering up almost nothing interesting at all. The songs are shapeless and have no build or resolution, the vocals are flat and the performances are washed through so many filters you can't tell if this was literally made by machines. I suspect, however, that machines would make more interesting music. This thing huffs and puffs and tries to sound different and meaningful, and it ends up as a big waste of time. |
