Striker are a fairly new band from Canada, and this is their second full-length album of speedy, energetic Heavy Metal. This band has a very old-fashioned, 80's approach to their material, as they play melodic riffs with a lot of NWOBHM style to them alongside chugging rhythm guitars. Vocalist Dan Cleary has a strong, clean voice that's not an operatic Power Metal instrument, but rather a callout to classic metal singers like Scanner's Mike Knoblich, with strong vocal lines, catchy choruses, and the odd high-octane metal wail. This isn't deep, it isn't serious, what it is, is a headbanging good time, with tunes like "Let It Burn", "It Could Be Worse", and the crushing "Land of the Lost". Pure steel entertainment from first to last.
