Every now and then you come across a band that impresses right away. Finland's Heavy Metal act D-cayed is such a band. D-cayed came into existence in 2011 and some of the members earned their spurs in tribute bands (Maiden Invasion, Holy Divers and so on) before striking out with original material. Burning is the title of the band's debut 3-track EP and I must admit D-cayed have thrown the door wide open. The slight lack of originality doesn't diminish the fact that they may well have a recording contract in their pockets by the time you read this. The word "promising" doesn't do justice to the band's excellent debut. You should keep your eyes on them in the future. I certainly will... |
